Previous Rallies

The first GalleryRally in 2008 saw ralliers cross France to the coastal glamour of Monaco. In 2009 we crossed the amazing winding passes of the Pyrenees to the gritty goodness of Barcelona. 2010 was Switzerland’s turn to see the J Plates arrive en masse as we rallied to Lake Geneva. With the South coast proving popular as both a destination and route we revisited Monaco in 2011 and mixed it with the beautiful St Tropez in 2012. 2013 saw the Pyrenees included in a route to Biarritz. We took a roundabout trip to Paris in 2015 and then headed back to Spain in 2016, but this time to the other coast and the epicurean delights of San Sebastian. 2017 took us to Italy and Milan, arriving in Splendour for a closing party at Fashion Week. Our tenth event took us back to where it began, with a last night at Monaco’s Buddha Bar.

Gallery Rally San Sebastian 2016
A new cluemaster and a new set of challenges took our ralliers to Spain. This year we took a boat (other than Condor) for the first time, saw one team win a plank challenge with a 7 minute plank and ate at a fabulous subterranean Michelin starred restaurant on our last evening. Brexit the Building took the prize this year as the experience of Messrs Webster and Buckle trumped the first time out for our Gallery team.

Gallery Rally Paris 2015
After a hiatus in 2014 that included a private rally to Paris, we decided to set it as it provided a great destination for a weekend away and a quick scoot back to St Malo too.

Gallery Rally Biarritz 2013
The 2013 rally saw veterans take the prize.

Gallery Rally St Tropez 2012

Comradere is one of the great characteristics we’ve seen in ralliers over the years. 2012 saw a couple of ralliers have to leave their classic Porsche speedster in the foothills of the Alps and journey over Mt Ventoux as the passengers in another ralliers’ split screen VW camper. Galleryrally Monaco 2011

After some research among previous years’ ralliers we decided to make a return to Monaco. Even without their trusty Evo, Mike and Garry showed their skills with a second set of their names engraved on the galleryrally trophy! Proving that you don’t need a fast car to win!

Galleryrally Geneva 2010

Some old faces and some new, the 2010 event saw a new sponsor; Peritus, who joined us at the Kempinski for the our gala dinner celebrating another great year and terrific fundraising.  Our trusty gallery Jeep tried its best to keep up with another great field of impressive vehicles as 80s 911s battled 996 Carrera 4s on the winding roads of the Swiss Alps. This year’s win went to the classic variety as Simon and Graham’s white wide body 80s 911 roared to victory.

Galleryrally Barcelona 2009

The hottest rally to date, quite literally. A big field of  ralliers left France behind and witnessed the dramatic passages of the Pyrenees to pass into Spain and end up in arguably one of Europe’s coolest, yet hottest, cities – Barcelona. 4 days of gruelling driving and tricky clues all washed down with a dip in the pool at the Miramar. This year’s winners were a pair of the rally’s standout characters; the father and son team of Chris and Geoff Blackstone.

Galleryrally Monaco 2008

Our first GalleryRally in 2008 saw 32 competitor cars head to the splendor of Monaco. Setting off from the Royal Yacht a chequered field of ralliers of all ages and types of vehicle. With Taxis and VW buses trying their best to keep in view of the Ferraris, 911s, Aston Martins and other rapid vehicles through the twists and turns of the Alps. After the cryptic clues were over and the casino tested by our motley crue, the victors were Route du Liberacion seasoned pros; Garry and Mike Nolan.
